Outsville Ki-tech tips & chalk review!!

You can see it since most cueballs are not pure white... And it does get on the cueball it just doesn't stay on the cueball... Since it doesn't have the same binders as Kamui it is dryer and will come off as the ball rolls around the table.. I'll take some pictures tomorrow night of the contact patches on the cueball and on a dark colored object ball so every one can see what I am talking about......

Even Masters chalk will leave some residue on the CB. Granted, it is nowhere near as bad as Kamui but it happens nonetheless. With that said, as excellent as your tips are, I'll certainly be one of your early customers for chalk when it becomes available no matter what the color. I do think the advantages of white potentially outweigh the disadvantage I mentioned substantially. The other comment I have is if you're going to make it round in shape, please come up with a chalk holder that would be available when the chalk comes out.

Thanks.

Sign me up for some white chalk that doesn't suck!!!

I used light grey masters for a long time because i like to keep my ferrules as clean as possible...lol

Taking a shot when your tip/CB contact point is where you intend to make contact, and there's obvious chalk there? It plants seeds of doubt (unless you're John Schmidt ;) on the rag)

I was gonna hit you up for some tips but if the chalks near ready I'll wait til then and get some.

Craving a break tip too!

OK My video skills suck when left with nothing but a flip camera and no one but me to hold it LOL... Was supposed to have some help but things happen.....

Sooooo...No Chalk videos tonight but I am meeting the guy that filmed my seat of the pants accu-rack video Sunday night... By then I should have the mock ups on the packaging done so people can comment on that as well at the same time......

not just white but......

I was considering adding color to it but when I started testing it on different colors of cloth and realized it didn't leave any staining and simply brushed up I started leaning against it... Then when I realized I could actually look at my tip and tell if it needed chalk I started leaning further against it....

The people that have samples all looked at it funny but everyone of them so far has came back and said they actually preferred the white after using it.....

Chris

Guess I'll pass on the chalk. Only collect blue chalks. :(

Can understand those feelings... Our early plans were to do the Simonis pallet... When I made breakthroughs in the formula that removed all of the binders and minerals that could stain anything I am pretty much adamant about putting anything back into it....

What we do is not what has been done before... Our formulas, Our Processing.... Those are ours.... every product we do I learn 100x how not to do something before I succeed but I will not and have not looked at how things have been done before.....

There are plenty of companies out there that are doing what has been done for 100 years.. They are NOT Outsville..... And our drummer has a whole different beat......

I think these tips suck

Sorry Renfro, nothing personal, I think your a great dude.

So good of a dude that I ordered some of your tips. Played a medium several times and came to the conclusion that is not for me.

That's just me. For my game these tips lack consistency.

Just saying...

No worries.. Different strokes for different folks but looking at order history I have only had one order in the last 6 months from Las Vegas proper and it was from someone who had been in contact with Lee Brett who uses our Soft. The prior orders to that zip were Sept '13..

IF this wasn't your order let me know. The mediums were revamped 2x since Sept of last year. I'll send another medium out to see if we can change your mind... Not saying we will and installation is always a part of the performance.. IF your installer didn't get the fibers cut down when he shaped it the soft and mediums play like crap.. Using a rough shaper is the only no no when dealing with these......

Chris

Thanks for your offer Chris. I ordered these from you a while back, can't remember the date, but 6 months ago sounds about right.

As far as installation all I can say is it looks good and solid, it was installed by South West Cues, they do all my work and have for years. Really nice folks over there.

I think it's more me than anything. I have become less accepting to change without realizing it.

I was going to change shafts earlier in the year and just gave up and went back to the 314/2 simply because I'm used to it, not because I really like it .. lol

I know others who play with your tips, medium included and they love them.

I still have it on one of my shafts so in the future perhaps I'll give it another go.

Hope all is well for you and yours .. good rolls

I have about 15 hours of play on a Ki-Tech soft tip and still no miscues.
This is very good for me.I use a lot of spin and also masse the cue ball a lot.
I'm impressed.

I chuckle when I see you post now... I know you were pretty doubtful when I talked you into giving the Ki-Techs a shot and am tickled that you found that they have some merit =)

Spin it to win it =)
