Hi all

would appreciate any feedback you may have over the following problem.

we installed a cloth (top name) and really made it tight when fitting. Yet 4 weeks after, we had to re stretch it. The manufacturer has said maybe overstretching has took all the elasticity out of the cloth?

Thoughts please.

Cloth

I would change you stretching procedure. If the cloth is stretched properly and no water has been used to clean the cloth than you should never have to go back. There is no such thing as to tight. Was this Championship? It would help is we new what cloth it was.
Thanks, Ron:smile:

Cloth will loosen for just a few reasons but typically because it wasn't installed correctly or you have a humidity problem.
In other words it's rarely the fault of the cloth.

It makes little difference which cloth was used but feel free to tell us the manner in which it was installed. Be specific.

how do you expect us to help you, and yes I believe that some cloth can be overstretched and definitely how you stretch it willl make a difference.

Im sorry SDB but i dont want to bring a brand name to a public forum if it may in our case either be our fault, or a usual occurrence in certain circumstances.

Was just looking for an experienced head to say wether the above is usual or not.

Regards

I'll refer you to post #4 in this thread which you apparently didn't read.
Top "brand" name means nothing. How the cloth was applied does.
If the cloth got loose after 4 weeks it was either improperly installed or you have a humidity problem.
