Over-thinking and being Over-Techincal

Nah, go ahead with your know it all attitude. You aren't here to learn anything, just to troll and pick things apart.

No, I'm here to learn. I've learned a lot from Dr. Dave and his educational website, videos, and posts here. What I've also learned, is that guys like you, think they are teaching people, by belittling them to the point that you lose all credibility. You have yet to answer my question, that Fran originally asked. I'm still waiting...

Trolling? Please... The word you're looking for, is debating. You just don't like my side, so you're calling it sad and that I don't understand. What's sad, is that you think your opinion is gold.

When I am at my best I am not thinking at the table as the time I put into my game to train is done when I am not actually in match play. For me personally I don't take long to shoot. If I am nervous or unsure prior to a shot it means I am thinking too much and I will take a step and chalk my cue and then get back into my pre shot routine.

After each shot I address the table and make my decision prior to getting into my pre shot routine, that way I can shoot the shot without thinking quickly (while still maintaining the full process I have been training on) and then go to the next shot.

I do think taking a bunch of practice strokes is unnecessary and that our brain can't comprehend doing say 6-7 strokes vs a simple 1-2 but that is just my opinion. Everyone shoots at different speeds, but for me personally I think I shoot fairly quick when I am in the zone playing well having to put very little thought between each shot as it comes naturally (from training).
