Overwintering on the Philippines?

Hi there,

my plan is to escape the Berlin winter and spend a few months on the Philipines, on a smaller budget than needed in Berlin.

I'd like to see Manila, but also spend time near the coast or on a nice island, where my girlfriend can enjoy the sea.

As I am a not the best player yet:p, my goal is not to play for money, but to gain experience by playing a lot for a drink or so and also to take some lessons from an instructor.

I have quite a clear picture what pool halls to go to in Manila, but where is some "island-action"?
And what about house tournaments in Manila?

Has anyone experience with a longer stay on the Philippines?

Any information is very much appreciated, as I have never been to Asia at all before.

Thanks!

Hello visit forum.bilyar.net there are a lot of amateur tournaments posted. If you're going to look for an instructor you might be disappointed, only few coaches here.

You might consider a short trip to Pattaya Thailand. It has a beach and a great pool scene. Cheap too.
