Pagulyan Carbon Fiber shaft?

A RavenPro low-defl. shaft is 250ish. very low-def based on all the vids i've watched. If i get another cf shaft i'm trying one of these.

They dropped a video on their Instagram showing the manufacturing of the shaft. I have no doubt they made this themselves.

Hopefully this shaft doesn't ship from Canada, I forgot about the import fees. Just bought something from a Canadian supplier and paid $134 on a $219 purchase! Ridiculous!

Who is 'they'? Pagulayan Billiards is just a marketing co. Some outside source is making these. Says in Canada but do they make their own tubes or are they just another assembler? I'm betting on the latter. Regardless the price is insane. Some 400Fargo tech suckers will have to have one.

Alex seems to following in the same vein as Fedor when it comes to churning out new products under their brand to leverage their fanhoods. I’m a fan of both these guys but as pool players, not a “brand” that’s looking to sell me crap I don’t need.
So you don't want a Ghost quarter holder for $20?! Normally it is $30 but if you act now, you can save 10 bucks.

But what there's more! Add the Dust Remover for only $21.99 to possibly get free shipping. And who doesn't want a signed photograph of Fedor and Carlo for $60? That's a steal.

I tend to agree but based on what most players make on-table they have to do something to make $$. Just don't blow smoke up people's asses and tell them this-or-that cue/shaft is gonna up their game two balls. 1,000Canadian/800US for this shaft is ridiculous.

I'm the same way. I'm getting older and crustier, though. But if you follow the Reddit billiards sub, you see all kinds of new and young players who have equipment and accessory obsessions. Hell, if I could slap my name on a product and make some cash on it, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I learned very little from the video on how this shaft differs from others. I was curious, though, about this snippet from the video. If Pagulayan is only selling a shaft, what is the wood-looking portion?

Could be that a custom cue maker built the prototype, then a Chinese factory will build the customer version.
UHH,no. There are no small custom makers making tubes. These guys are buying tubes from someone then assembling them. Getting the 'wood like' sound is done thru different types/densities of foam filling as well as wood plugs ala Meucci. There's zero reason for these to be so expensive. Just my $.02 on this but i think Alex is making a cash grab late in his career. If he gets suckers, errrrrrrrr, customers to bite more power to him.

Pagulayan is just cashing in on his name ... Gullible people standing everywhere with money
but it was a good move to make it square. I have a piece of taom, not sure where I got it, I used a couple weeks ago because I found it in my bag. What stupid idea it was to make it round, it's always rolling away on you, into pockets, onto the floor. It's not in my bag anymore.
