Proficent stopped doing the 3-section nylon wraps as they originally came.Nice condition. Replacement wrap looks awkward, too modern to me. There are better choices. One non-original shaft.
Nice cue.
Wow. I had no idea.Proficent stopped doing the 3-section nylon wraps as they originally came.
They both ran out of the nylon wrap and hated doing them so much they won't reorder new wrap!
The original owner told me he went to Jersey and bought it new,and the wrap is original.Nice condition. Replacement wrap looks awkward, too modern to me. There are better choices. One non-original shaft.
Nice cue.
That is not the original wrap. The original owner told me he went to Jersey and bought it new,and the wrap is original.
I think the value you were given above is correct. If I were going to buy it, I would not pay more than $300 to $350.What is it worth? I’m selling it for the owner
Some second catalog cues did come with a single color nylon wrap, like this:

But I have never seen a 2nd catalog cue with an original speck linen wrap like your cue
Solid black would look betterNice condition. Replacement wrap looks awkward, too modern to me. There are better choices. One non-original shaft.
Nice cue.
Do you know if that was a custom order?
No, I don’t know.Do you know if that was a custom order?
Yeah, Dacron would vibe more with the materials Palmer liked to use.No, I don’t know.
I posted hastily, though. The wrap is Dacron not linen, if that makes a difference.
It was rewrapped. It was red. One shaft was shortened.I will see the original owner tonight. He bought it new in the sixties. And get the full story.
One shaft is either not original, or for some reason, got a different brass insert. It was rewrapped. It was red. One shaft was shortened.
