Outside of Paul Rubino as a likely candidate for having a few replacements, no one firm popped up.
Is there anyone who may know of someone with some 1/2 inch Palmer Original Foil to help Gary out with his project?
I am sure some other old Palmers are starting to flake and deteriorate over time. This will also help other cue makers who are refurbishing old Palmers.

Gary and I spoke on the phone today. I spent a while going through the archives to see if we could compile a few names.

I appreciate the responses so far. Because Tate is the Palmer Authority here at AZ, he was my first thought. However, in perusing the Archives, I had seen where Tate had posted on other threads that he wanted to know if anyone had any available. My hope would be that people in the NY/NJ area that may have had contact with the Balner Family or old billiard supply places, and may have picked up some foil in the past as souvenirs from when Palmer was located there. I appreciate the information.

Paul Rubino definitely has the 1/2 inch foils but not the 1" and I know he has made foils for guys in the past but I am not sure if he has the ability to duplicate the Palmer logo and type. I know the font is called hobo or at least iI think it is. If Paul can't duplicate the print, just buy the foil from him and take it to an old school print shop, they can probably do it. Hope this helps I had the same problem with a first catalog model 10 and needed the 1" foil, impossible to find to the point where I put an ad in WTB/ for sale section offering $150 for one and didn't get a response. I don't understand why one of the cue makers/cue restorers don't just buy a Kingsley Hot-Stamp machine and the Hobo font to produce these. I know it constitutes a bit of an expense, but there would be at least some demand for replacement foils. But that is a guess. If there are only a handful or even a few dozen people wanting replacement foils, it might not be worth it.
Also, I suppose an argument could be made against doing this as some would create bootleg/counterfeit Palmers and so-on.
As a point of information, from personal experience, none of my Palmers have exhibited any problems with the foil and the oldest of them go all the way back to the mid-sixties.

I have the original 1/2" foil and am looking into remaking them. They will only state "Original by Palmer" in the correct font and you will have to supply a picture of your cue beforehand.
Since this will be a significant investment on my part, I would like to know how many of you are needing this replacement foil.

I just received the machine and am awaiting delivery of the die. The only option will be Original by Palmer in the correct font either in silver or gold foil. When I receive the die I will post pictures of the results.
