Palmer J on eBAY

Any one interested in this old thing
Man I thought I was at a good starting level and I've got nothing but
"if I'm gonna have to refinish it will you take less"

Is IT ME OR IS THE CUE WORTH ABOUT $1700-$1900..?!?
Let Me know

Thanks
JAY

Always start your auctions at 0.00 and set a reserve it costs a little more but generates alot of interest and a good reserve will protect your interest!

Jay,
I own four early model J Palmer cues all with two or more original shafts. The most I've paid is $1,600.00 for one with nice original finish, two shafts with very minimal roll and the cue is in great shape. The other three are close to the same condition and I'm in them around a $1,000.00 each. None of them need refinishing. They are straight, so you may be expecting more than your cue will bring today considering its condition. Remember, the book is only a guide, and there are fewer buyers wanting a cue for that kind of $$$ that needs work to look nice. Now, if the shafts were straight, the finish good, no cracked ringwork, your thinking would be right on. Here is a link to the four model J Palmers I'm talking about.

Hope this helps,

Thanks Guys
Nick, Your insight is very helpful I've never done an eBay
Auction before and didn't know how it would work.I hate the place honestly

John, you are certainly right on the small market for the cue
of the 60-70's. I hope someone gets it who appreciates
the style and all of the work for the inlays and gets her back
to her original splendor.

Thanks
JAY

Anybody got any Chum....

only one more day to go!!!

Jay,

I would say that you got a fair amount for this "J". Your listing price would have been a steal. If the buyer wishes they can spend a few hundred to fix the cue up and have a very nice collectible cue. Maybe the auction didn't seem like there was a lot of action, but with 850 plus views of the page it actually got quite a bit of attention.

Chris

Ps. There could have been a lot more bidding action than the 3 bids shown because bidding software won't register a bid if the higher bids were registered before the software was triggered.

I was pleased with the Winning price and so is the new owner,
He paid in minutes and is looking forward to getting the stick...

I think there was a few bids because it jumped $400 in less than
6 seconds. Software is great.

Thanks
Jay
