I'd buy acrylic tube, that way you don't have to polish the inside of the rod, after you bore it out. By the way, it turns down nicely with a router bit and is surprisingly easy to polish out. Be careful when you cut it off, it will tend to shatter on the inside of the tube. I'm doing one right now and will post pictures when done.

Just curious, How do you make this acrylic clear like glass after cutting?

Just sand and polish like auto finish. Just have to start with a little rougher paper to start with.

Thank you Steve. One green light for you. :)

Here is the Palmer - Viking style window cue I made a few years ago.

BTW ... it is currently for sale at Robin Adair's Pro shop here in Corpus Christi, Texas.

what did you use for under the window?

I always buy mine in solid rod form. I need to be able to create my own ID for projects, especially the old Palmer repairs when the ID is not only inconsistent, but not even close to concentric.

Its not that big of a deal the bore, sand, and polish the inside.

Nice job Willee, can you tell me how much it is selling for? Just curious.

Jim.

I have this cue on display in my shop. It is priced at $750.00. However, my market dictates cues in the 100-350 range as the best sellers and I will sell it for considerably less. It has a flaw in the acrylic window which cant really be photographed, so I will entertain all offers.
