Finally after some technical delays the videos of the Pan Xiao Ting v Ralf Souquet King v Queen event are online in Windows Media Format (wmv).

There are 4 parts (rather large files).

My thanks to Shanghai Beer and Jian Ying Cues for sponsoring the event, and to my mum for bringing up the organizer:p

If you have any problems, you can also access these video links here:

Let me know how it works.

btw: You can watch the videos as they download by opening those files in Windows Media Viewer.

The download speed will probably not be fast enough for it to stream live though. But you can check some of the video out before the whole file is downloaded to check the quality.

All up it's about 1hr40mins of video. Most of the race to 15 match.

Colin, the video quality is excellent, and plus she is one gorgeous lady. It's also always a pleasure to watch Ralph play also, he's so methodical and plays so smart. I think once Pan starts controlling her break, she could be a dominating force on the WPBA. She breaks really hard, has great cueball control and shotmaking. Congrats to you Colin on a job well done, and I hope you do many more things like this in the future.

Thank you Colin.

I have some pictures (courtesy of my147.com) here of Ms. Pan appearing on a TV show called "Women of our time." She was there with her father.

Ms. Pan was offered a 5 games ahead spot by Ralf but she declined the offer and insisted on playing Ralf straight up, is that right?

Those are some of the best pics ive seen of her. I am going to Florida on the 20th in hopes she is playing in Palm Harbor for the Spirit Tour on the 21st.

She breaks harder than Ga Young right?

Im not dumping Ga Young by the way-she is still #1!

Okay, here are more pictures.

I am not sure which qualifier she will be attending.

Enjoy.

Yes, that's right and I was glad she did that...as I'm sure Ralf was.

She believes she should play on a level footing with the men, even if she is still a bit behind the top male players.

She thought her play was way below usual standard in the match, but she has had little experience in these type of exhibition matches. I think she handled herself well. Always looks pretty calm and ran quite a few solid outs with few what you'd call Bad shots.

btw: Nice pics. Pan is becoming a regular on the TV talk show circuit. Soon she'll be one of the really well know faces / sports heroes in China and will be entertaining sponsorship offers left and right I imagine :D

Glad you enjoyed it!
Also hoping to put on more good events in the future.

I think Pan will be a very well known face in China soon. It is nice to see that because this would for sure popularize 9 ball in China and hence Asia. With Mr. Ding doing so well in snooker and Ms. Pan in 9 ball, I am hoping to see more world class players from China soon.

Thanks Calculator! That was great and I hope you can furnish more. Pan is a great player and very pretty too. Ralf is very nice and talented, but have you ever noticed his resemblance to Dana Carvey as Pistachio in Master of Disguise(without the glasses)??

Hey, I noticed it before, but just never posted it on a forum. Read thru that and it is hilarious. People say I look like Connie Chung, but then we all look alike, right?

Sure you did:rolleyes: :p
Actually, it's pretty true about asians looking alike to non-asians. When I first came to China, it would take me ages to tell some people apart. Now I can discern a much wider range of facial characteristics in asian faces.

Many of the Chinese think us laowais all look similar too:D

Well Colin, for what its worth, I really enjoyed the 12% of the download i did get to see.:D :p Man, why is it taking so long to download this stuff? I'm on a T3 connection here at work and I only get 12% downloaded after about...what, 20 minutes!!! Sigh. Oh yeah, I second her have a huge break. It was worth seeing that alone.:D

Shoutout33<--- Really, really loves big breaks.:D

The server it is on is not super-fast...and based in Beijing. I got about 15kb/s on my adsl but still took a couple of hours to download the lot. If you're not in a hurry you can just leave it downloading in the background:)

Doing that now. ;) I'm at 53% as we speak. WooHoo! LOL! (j/k) One thing I forgot to do is tell it where to save too. I'm hoping I can do that after I finish downloading it, but I'm not sure.
