I finished my tournament in San Diego on 21st of April. I lost to Jennifer Barretta 7:9 in the last 16 going into the final 8. I will try to qualify for my 4th WPBA stop in Miami.

The night before my last day, I went to bed around 8pm, and slept for over 11 hours. I woke up at 7am the next day to get ready for my match at 11:45am with Kim White.

I arrived at the venue around 10:30am, our match started right on time. Ms. White is the President of the WPBA, she made it to the final four last month in Michigan. I felt that she played much better than last time. I beat her 9:2 last time and I won 9:4 this time.

My second match started at 3:15pm with Vivian. She had a very good break, and was very relaxed and smooth. Her playing style reminded me of a man. She played very well. I won my match 9:1.

After this match, we had to enter a draw for the last sixteen. Me and Hsin Huang were the last two girls remaining in the draw, there were two names left, Allison Fisher and Jennifer Barretta. Hsin Huang said to me if I was the last one I would not have the option to draw.

Well, I was the second last to pick a name and I picked Jennifer Barretta. It meant Hsin would have to play Allison.

Afterwards, someone told me a lot of people were looking forward to see a rematch between me and Allison and they hoped I could draw Allison.

I had to play Jennifer at 7:45pm. I had stayed in the arena for a whole day and I was very tired. I lost to Jennifer 7:9.

A lot of Chinese fans were very supportive and they cheered for me everytime I made a good shot. Some reporters also came to interview me.

Thank you.

Not a mention of me at all. Hmmph!

There is a report on AZB that XTP will play in Phillipines in that Enerva thing but it is incorrect. XTP got the invite too late to get the Visa. Hopefully sexy countrymen fashion Princess Meng Meng Zhou will carry the Chinese Flag admirably in her absence.

Interesting journal. Pan compliments Kim White after she beat her 9-4. She compliments Vivian after beating her 9-1. But when Jennifer beat her 9-7, she was "tired". I saw the match, Jennifer showed a lot of heart after being down early.

Too bad Ms. Pan didn't see fit to compliment Jennifer also.

I just spoke to Rebecca Zhou (Zhou Meng Meng) and apparently she was too busy to go. She thought that PXT would be going but doesn't know for sure.

She also said she will be going to the US next month for the BCA Open. It will be her first appearance in the US.

Jay,

I translated this journal from a Chinese web site via a translation engine first, and it was not meant for the general public in North America to read, so she might have forgotten to include a compliment after a heart broken lost to Jennifer for the second time. I am sure it was just a honest mistake. I cannot speak for Ms. Pan, in my opinion, she commented she was tired not because she wanted to take any credit away from Jennifer, but just to say that she did not play her best game, that is all. My translation is not very good, it sounded different from the original text somehow. I am sorry.

Xiao Ting Pan commented that Jennifer Barretta played with a lot of heart and was a tough competitor after her match in Taiwan with her.

I think anyone who has watched Jennifer play would agree that she is one of the most determined and focued player out there.

Richard, thanks for posting the translation.

Does anyone know how Hsin faired against Allison? Richard, any idea?

Hsin was waxed 9-0 by Allison

Meng Meng is gonna love Vegas!

I just may make her an offer she probably will refuse.

XTP's interpreter told me just a few days ago that she will not be in Manila so that is pretty solid.

As far as XTP not praising Jennifer, I think that is pretty normal for a competitive type.

Sorry i couldn't put these thoughts together a liitle more smoothly.

Will "fashion princess Meng Meng" be her official nick name, buddy? Well...you know my take on this...but then you are the official authority on fashion so who am I to disagree.:D :D :D
