PARADISE BAR AND BILLIARDS...coming to Charlotte,NC

USA billiards?

Why you North Carolinians are reflecting on pool rooms, did you ever go to my friend Bruce Tompkins room? I believe it was called USA Billiards. I never went but Bruce told me a lot about it.

Bruce is a friend of mine. His room was called Pro Billiards. A fine place while he owned it. Bad area of town now...too many parking lot robberies & car windows broken out. No real players frequent the joint now. Bruce has been making a few one hole games lately at the GreenRoom in Pineville.

I see. Was there a place called USA billiards? I was confused. Good to see Bruce is still playing a little one hole. Last I talked to him he was in New York.

Never heard of "USA Billiards"...not in this area. He also at one time had a small Mex joint on S. Blvd. Bruce is a great guy...doesn't mind backing a little action either. He's so old now he just likes rolling his balls slowly down to one corner...close is good enough...LOL!:D

Welcome To Paradise!

Hi People,
The name's Arthur Rosen, kust moved down to Charlotte from NYC, where I worked at
Chelsea Billiards (ancient history now) and was League Director at Corner Billiards for 8 years. I love the game of pool and always wanted my own spot- came to Charlotte over a year ago, and have been trying to open up here since.

Paradise is going to be a great spot for players as well as a cool, fun spot for the social crowd, but only players will be in the playing area, no one walking in front of your shot, no rail birds hanging over and talking while you're down on a tough shot. No Excuses! 21 9' tables, Tournament Blue Cloth, 2 tight boxes, two GC5's for Straight Pool, the rest Diamond ProAm's. Straight Pool, One Pocket, 3 Cushion and Snooker Players please Make yourself known!. I will get equipment for any game if there are enough players!

Top Pros teaching, Ronie Park running weekly tournaments, APA and in-house individual nine ball (ABC and up players only), Team nine, Eight-Ball and Straight Leagues, as well as a Straight and Nineball Ladder Competitions will keep us all busy. I hope to see you all there as soon as we open, which should be Sept 15. Grand opening night to follow-

Please visit the WebSite - www.pbcue.com , and sign up for your free membership which will entitle you to time and drink discounts, as well as pro shop discounts- Selling Cues, Billiard Life and BilliardHolic clothes.....

We are going to have a great room here! Please come and support it. You can email me through the website if you have any questions, or post here.

Thanks for the Post Ron!
See you in September.

Arthur

Welcome to Paradise!

Arthur,
I have confidence in you that you will make the place a wonderfull experience.
How about kicking on the shins of those guys from the next table who stand between the tables after finishing the shot and get angry when you tell them to move? These are not just ball bangers and even the ' A ' players stand between the tables. In their mind others do not exist on this planet. Cheers:cool:

Yea Thanks Arthur for coming out to play in my Friday tournament and please come back and whip the field into shape even though eightball is not your preferred game, maybe soon we can have some real nineball tournaments in town.--Leonard
