Its a nice stiff cue. Definitely a firm (solid hitting) cue when using stun. The tip it came with is really hard. QB spins nicely even on near center hits. But I think not all players will like the tip as you will need to chalk heavily with every shot. Very acurate for a conrtolled and calculated game.

Nice cue from a top English cue builder. Interesting to see the use of a phenolic joint....I have not seen John make a cue like that before. He has made 2 piece, centre split American style cues for a host of players including Steve Davis and Tony Drago but thats the first one I have seen with that type of joint.

I asked my friend and he said that he was charged 500 pounds. This included all the custom specs and design instructions that was put into the cue.

Thats about the right figure. It is a custom one, its maple, 2 piece with a centre split and a custom veneer. You will not be able to buy that cue for less than £500 pounds GBP.

Yea, that's sure way off. A while back I wanted John Parris to build a custom cue for me, and a couple of weeks after I had sent him my spec, he quoted me only 306 pounds! (and that included shipping and insurance to the US)

Yes, I already corrected myself on post #11 when I asked my friend for the actual amount he paid for. Thanks.
