Parts to convert Gold Crown 5 to ball return

I am looking for parts to convert my Gold Crown 5 Tournament edition to have a ball return. I have contacted Classsic Billiards and they only have the pockets, Brunswick was no help. Anyone converted one or even maybe have the parts to sell?
Did you ever crawl around under the table and see if its drilled or tapped for a ball return?

Brunswick Ball Return and Reliable are mutually exclusive concepts. You could fabricate a drainage system with PVC that would work flawlessly.
I've played on quite a few GC's w/returns and they all worked fine. If the gullies are installed by a moron you can have issues but its not the tables fault.

I converted my GC IV from a rail system to drop pockets and never regretted the decision. The rails worked just fine, and the box was less noisy with a piece of floor mat rubber in the bottom. I like the pockets. Walking the table gives me excercise and I hated bending down for the box. I have a bad back, and the drop pockets aren't as low or far-reaching. Mucho Better.
Agree 100%.

Those that I've seen are nothing but roller coaster tracks. Balls derail and fall to the floor. Some derail and wedge on the cover boards. Some don't even make it through the funnel. The ball hunt is something familiar to all pool players.

I have a GC4. Bought brand new..... the balls hop off the rail when pocketed into side pocket. The installers were Brunswick authorized. From now on I had it with authorized installers.

You mean the divider thing for one hole?
No, it’s a 1x3 support that runs across the top of the ball box. The balls can roll underneath it from front to back of ball box but there’s only a 3/8 inch gap from top of balls to bottom of support. Reach under It to grab a ball can rip the skin off your knuckles pulling it out if you forget the support is there

I get it but this is an install issue. Played on a bunch of 3's with returns and they all worked fine. One 4 i played on had mis-aligned gullies and a ball would fall out. I told the houseman and he fixed it in about a minute. I'm a drop pocket guy all the way. All the 4's at Magoo's Tulsa are drops.

For some reason I did not like the look of the 5. Thought Brunswick killed tradition...... But that particular 5 is a beautiful table.
I have always very much liked the GCV's, I would be willing to trade my GCI for a GCV but probably not a Diamond. Its not that I don't like Diamonds I just like my GCI more.

Whoever set up a Gold Crown to where there are problems with the ball return has got to be one of the biggest morons on the planet. They are simple, completely visible, and there is nothing for the balls to hang up on. My ball return GCI is 60 years old and still works flawlessly. (OMG, Im sounding like a grumpy old man, kinda like Garzar :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:)
