Nice looking sneaky from Pat. Not sure who you paid $1250 from, but that cue would cost about $400ish directly from Pat and would sell for about $350ish on the forum. $950 won't happen

Totally agree, especially for a SNEAKY PETE with just one shaft.
But, seller has the right to ask what he thinks the cue is worth.
Nice cue, good luck with sale.

I call BS. Can't believe Pat would have charged $1250 for this cue. I've seen a lot of Pat's cues when he comes out to Illinois for Tourneys.

IMO, you'd have better luck on eBay if you're asking this price.

To the OP, all posters including me could be wrong, but I think you would have to come up with some type of proof to show you got this for $1250. And even that, it would probably not help your sale.

Being a new member with 0 iTrader. This is not the right sale to get you started.

Maybe he didn't buy the cue from pat?

I think, it's just that the price went up after Lee Van Corteza won the China Open this year. We all know how it works, a champion's cue :p

I totally agree, just saying it may not be as bad as it seems. And you are right the seller can ask whatever he or she wants for a cue.

Sure, they can ask whatever they want. But don't know they should misrepresent what they paid for a new cue to sell at a $300 "loss". As my other post states, maybe he did pay this, but even with proof provided, I don't think there'd be many takers at this price.

That is a valid point. Maybe he got played by someone and paid too much. Found out the hard way about cue value and now is trying to recoup his losses. But probably should try eBay where there aren't as many informed buyers.

Not trying to knock his action on the sale. But since posters did that before I got here, just giving my opinion. And trust me, there are many others that beat up new members MUCH more than I am here. I'm just trying to give him fair warning.

I understand what youre saying and you make good points as well. I once saw a custom cue sell new from the cuemaker for 800 then about a year later saw a cue dealer with the cue and when I asked him how much he wanted for it he said 2200 lol so you never know.

Yep, I've seen this once or twice as well. Cue dealers often take cue's in on trades and then inflate the sticker price on what they took in. Then when another customer comes in and wants this $2200 cue, he'll take a $500 cue and $800 in cash. Customer then brags about his $2200 cue that he got a great deal on.

So now the dealer has recouped his original $800 investment, and now will mark the $500 cue up to $1500 and wait for the next customer.

It's a great business model for these dealers.

Nagardy,
1st I want to welcome you to the forum. The seas can be a little rough in here, but hang in and enjoy.

2nd. You probably won't get any takers unless you edit your post and list at $400 or so. Most people take a quick look at the listings. When they realize how overpriced you are, you won't get a serious offer.

3rd. It sounds weird, but most people will not buy from a new member with 0 iTrader reviews unless it's a SUPER steal as they don't feel it's worth the risk. Sounds weird as everyone started with 0 iTrader at one point.

4th. If it's an emergency, you may be better off going to your local room during a tourney and trying to sell it for what you can there. But again, if you're looking for more than $400, it may be a tough sell.

Best of luck to you and hope your emergency isn't anything too bad.

edit---Don't get me wrong, Pat's cues do hit excellent and it's an excellent players cue.
