Pawn Shop Find

Hey guy, been floating around the forums for a bit and noticed some of the pawn shop finds you guys have been having. I thought to myself hey why not call around and see what they have local...ended up coming up on a Mezz Z405 with a WD700 shaft ( knew the pawn shop guy didn't know what he was talking about when he said the model of the stick was a WD700 which is the shaft not the stick). got it for 260 out the door with a cheap PoolDawg 1x1...do you think i paid to much for it? i saw online they are going for low 6's??

Good find. I got a McDermott D series cue pretty cheap a few years ago - and sold it not long after.

I had a pawn shop employee tell me an elderly lady came in the pawn shop with her husband's cue which he had paid a lot of money for many years ago but it didn't have any markings on it so the pawn shop guy didn't buy it.

I told him the most expensive thing in his pawn shop might have been that pool cue. No, he didn't have her phone number - I asked!

Not a bad deal if not beat up, you got it for probably a $100 under the real value someone would put on it, but pretty close to what you could resonably expect to get from a buyer. Whoever sold it must have sold it at 1/2 the price he could have gotten on here or maybe ebay.
