Pawn shop special. ID help please.

I bought this for $15. I figure it's always nice to have a bang around stick in my home pool room. Drunks get to rowdy on my good cues... Anyway, price was right.

The butt is smaller in diameter than most cues. Has a long taper on it, and the joint fits fairly well. A little too well for me to just right off as a cheap POS. It also has a strange symbol on the butt I've never seen before. It's under the clear and won't wipe off with acetone.

this also came with a Schmelke case, so I thought maybe thats what it is, and someone had it retapered?

Any ideas???

Is that a brass insert in the shaft?

This will be tough to identify, I'm sure lots of guys who get into cue making fiddle around with sneakies at some point. good luck!

Yes brass insert.

I actually saw the taper on the shaft and thought maybe it was something decent, just beat to crap. It seems to hit OK, for the POS ferrule tip combo on it. I'm a bit surprised actually. Either way it's good enough for my beater cues in the rack at my house. i know have 4 of them. so I should be good for a while.
