not broke but on a budget. I certainly think thats fair to say about a lot of people. People like myself love the sport but with something happening almost every weekend nowadays( great thing by the way), it does get costly and I dont want to miss a thing! lol Maybe the suggestion of having a pay channel dedicated to cuesports would be the best answer. $20 a month would be great compared to $25 to $80 almost every weekend now. It doesnt really matter how much people make in a year , its all about the principle here, if you can throw down money every weekend and not bat an eye then good for you. Just saying most people cant thats all, thanks again.

What you leave out is that you pay for bandwidth based on how much you use. So if you only charge $30 for the full package your bandwidth bill will soar with no income to offset it. Which means while you do get people buying more days you make even less than if they would of just bought the two day or one day package.

But the additional cost can be modeled as well. For the 2-3 day viewers, they might purchase the full package if offered at an attractive price but the majority would only view an additional 1-2 days.

The goal would be to maximize profits, & if the current prices do this then the pricing is correct.

Accu Stats is charging $10 a day. IMO thats pretty fair but I understand the sticker shock when looking at the total price for all the days together. It is what it is though. For some people its too much for some its what they spend on a lunch. Like everything else the market will decide. If enough people do not buy because the perceived value is not there they will either lower their price or stop doing it.

With everyone and their brother trying to do PPV now customers will have to start making choices where they spend their time and money.

You leave out a whole lot of things on the cost side of the equation for PPV streamers. Have you ever done any? Perhaps there is more to it than "just picking a price and sticking to it"

The fact that you think a paid subscriber is 98% profit tells me you really have no idea what you are talking about.

That's good. At least I'm learning some things. This is my deal on it. If the total package was at like $50, I would have bought it right off the bat no matter if I could have watched only half of it or two thirds of the matches or whatever. As it is, I will buy like two days when the one pocket starts and spend only $20. I was thinking they made more when you spend more also, like the other poster thought. Now I understand that they make a larger % profit off my $20 while just letting me view for the two days. They have to balance it. I would rather watch banks than any rotation game any day myself, so that was another reason I'm nitting it. Plus I have some good savings, but very little coming in these days, so I have become more nitty about the streams cause it does add up

UPlayLucky had some good stats.

but what we didn't know - is what YOU just taught us about cost of bandwidth. vital. thank you, Justin!

i understand his sticker-shock @ $70. when we are accustomed to $10-$30 "allowance". if the DCC weren't a week long, i'm assuming the price would be less? help me, Justin, Tiger, Lenny, Big Truck?

I guess you were not getting my point. The goal is to maximize profits along with the number of viewers. If current prices do this, then they are correct.

Personally, I would think the daily and half day prices could be raised and the full package price reduced. But I would need to see actual cost data along with viewer distributions to get a better idea.

You may not be aware of.

With what the WWE did with their network online for $9.99 a month, I have a feeling other things will follow. maybe something like that can be for pool.

This may be somewhat of new information for many viewers of streaming but I've already done this. I've had the subscription model "the netflix of pool" for $7.99 a month for almost 2 years now with some noticeable success. First with OSPN with Zach Goldsmith and now with my own platform.

Right now for being a member you get full access on demand to the extensive library of my work to watch anytime on any device anywhere and its' very high quality.

+

Members also have access to the HIGH quality streams "HD" when applicable otherwise they are locked down.

+

Members also have access to both LOW and HIGH quality private PREMIUM channels. These would be the matches I produce traveling, action or select events. This is not a PPV but to watch the premium channels you have to be paid members.

So I produce 3-5 nights/days a week even if you never watch a premium broadcast or a match in the forum the $7.99 is a great way to support my work this is my own platform see signature.

My platform is available for other streamers to use FREE as long as the model is strictly followed.

ok, yáll need to buy the Bigfoot stream - if for no other reason, than to decifer what NUMBER ball, is what COLOR!

i'm not kidding. it'll totally be worth it!

we are betting on every shot, as to whether
1) we can guess the color right
2) same for the commentators....

here's a hint:
the only balls i'm sure of, are 8, 10, and cue. and the fuschia is the 4 (i think).
the commentators are calling the pea-green one: LIME
and the mint-green one: ROBINS EGG BLUE
