I was contacted by a gentleman from www.bayridgebilliards.com
he said that he collects first addition books on billiards
and was wondering if Jean Balukas would sign his book.
I told him to send me the book and I would ask.

Here are the results and my small pay it forward to someone who loves the game.

I watched Jean many years ago on television, at that time, she was shooting her best, she was a class act and ready to play anyone, and the men who said they would not play her because she was a girl, deep down, did not want to play her because she might just kick their a**.

Yea that is the case and even today she still would kick butt...

That is awesome! I have 3 original press photos of Jean that I had framed together. I am not asking for her to sign them just wanted to share. But if she's ever in Fort Collins I would bug her about signing them! :). (Thanks, Lenny!)

I actually contacted Jean by snail-mail through her family's room. She signed an 8x10 photo and sent along a personal note to me. For an autograph collector, it don't get no better than that!!

Great Press photos 12squared.

Thanks, I really like the one of her going to school at the foot of the stairs. But I love the one on the bottom because it has Ray Abrams acting as the ref; I played out of Ray's room in Oak Park, MI (Cushion n Cue) until 1976 when I moved to CA.

It would be cool if you showed the pics to Jean. I have been a big fan of hers since she started going to Livonia, MI (another one of Ray's rooms) for the 14.1 tourneys w/the men in the early 70's. I even think I kept score for her match once. She was awesome.
