All I ask was.that if you use F&F or G&S(with higher price) aren’t they both cheap assholes?
Well, sort of. That mostly depends on how you want to define "cheap assholes". There is little more to it than that.
I do not give any consideration to "F&F only" sales. I do at least consider the the "add 3.5% for PayPal" listings. It may still be in the range of what I would pay. I never considered either as cheap AH's as much as infrequent or second rate sellers and have less trust in their packaging and shipping practices as well as their descriptions of what they are selling.
With only accepting F&F the seller gives you no protection. May as well wire them the money. When the money is gone, it's gone! That is being a cheaper AH by far than just tacking on a few bucks to cover the cost of YOUR protection.
If I say I have a cue for sale for $1500 and will only accept PayPal gifts and services payment, it is to afford the buyer some protection and what is to say if I an either tacking on or absorbing the PayPal costs?
All these 2nd hand cues do not have any price schedule to go by so without a statement about "buyer pays extra **% for PayPal fess" how do you know what is in the sellers mind? It is either a price you are willing to pay or not. There may be some negotiations that can lessen the buyers cost too.
PayPal fees are going to be more a concern to someone who only sells a cue once in a great while. I sell a lot of stuff (not cues though) and I don't care about the fees as I am looking at the bigger picture and not each and every Ebay (or other) sale individually. I have had some small losses along the way but in the big picture, they are inconsequential.
