I was searching for a red inlay material and came across pearloid,
Seems like guitar guys use it a lot
Has anyone here used it on cues?

Darcy,
Guitars have a much larger display area, of course, so that large pattern would have a chance to show.
Not sure how it would show up on a cue inlay.
My 2 cents,
Gary

Ya Gary I don't know that the pattern will show,
I wonder about how finish and polish will look...
It's cheap enough, I'll just buy a few colors and try it out :)

Looks like just enough to catch an eye. Not too soft, not too loud.

As soon as I get some free time I'll order a few different colors and see what's up :)

Is it used in cue work? Have you ever heard of Viking, McDermott, or Schmelke? It may not be the exact same stuff, but plenty close enough I think.
