Pechauer prototype cue with rosewood stain in forearm and butt sleeve with Bacote handle. There is a set of bacote points in the butt sleeve and forearm near the ebony points. There is simulated ivory inlays and phenolic at the joint and butt cap. The joint is the patented Pechauer speed joint. Shipping is free in the CONUS and custom joint protectors are included with the cue.

Did a little search for Pechauer prototype and found this cue listed at least 4 places. Do you have any history on this cue. How this cue came about? Does this one have a Pechauer signature? Is the shaft a low deflection or standard Pechauer shaft? If you’d be interested in a partial trade and cash I have a Pechauer JP2-R that is new never played with a standard shaft that is pro taper with 12.5mm diameter tip.

I have it listed in craigslist local, facebook marketplace, ebay and here there is only 1 of this cue , Pechauer cues makes custom cues and cues someone designed but does not pay for and or slight changes from cues in their lines and once a year they send out an e-mail to buyers where it's first come first serve and that is how I got this cue
 
So I did a little research because this stick peaked my interest. I just wish they had put it out with an LD shaft for such a nice playing cue. I also found out that they did use this design in a stick they produced but not with the Bacote in the butt. I was also told that there was a high potential that it is not a 1/1 of that it is more likely to be a 2 or 3 production. They told me they specifically they sign all 1/1 with 1/1 along with the signature. They were also nice of enough to tell me the price they sold it for.

In short I think this is a very respectable cue and a respectable ask for it. I only play with Pechauer and have just recently made an offer on a stick that isn’t Pechauer because it meets a need but doesn’t meet the high level of quality. All being said I see that you have offered on EBay the make offer option. I know if we do this privately you’ll pocket more of the money in lieu of auction fees and PayPal fees. That being said if you want to drop me a PM and let me know what the bottom line is we can probably make a deal. I presume your not in any hurry to offload this beings you’ve had it for some time now. I don’t want to disrespect or low ball you so if you’d just let me know your number id greatly appreciate it my friend.
 
i have a predator 2 pechauer shaft that fits , could order rogue carbon fiber or P+ Pro or P+ lite shaft but that could take a few weeks before it is ready because usually none in stock this time of year

Surprisingly they were OOS on my last Pro + shaft a couple of months ago and made it in 2 days and had it to me before my weekend tournament. Amazed me at the service. Got a buddy that is making me a carbon shaft right now but it’s flat faced. Pechauer was nice enough to sell me the insert for $10. I’ve got multiple flat faced shafts.

flat faced will work ok you don't really need to have the piloting
 
Ahhh dang man I forgot to get back to you. Yes arrival was much anticipated and the packing job was spectacular. This is an exceptional example of craftsmanship from Pechauer. I haven’t used the shaft that came with it. I ordered a Pro Lite 11.7mm shaft when we secured a deal. I have a custom made CF shaft that is 12.4mm that I’ve been using with it as well. I’ve added a butt extension plug that allows for me to use my extension as well.

Both shafts and the use of the extension all make the balance and play just a bit different. I’ve went to using this more as my primary player and my other JP I’ve been keeping the extension on and grabbing it when I need a better reach. Makes being versatile quicker. I’ve got nothing but great comments on this cues from others as well.

If your case looks like the inside of mine you might be a loyalist or lean to specific maker.
