Curious as to what everyone's thoughts were on Pechauer's joint pin. I have owned several of their cues in the past, but always ordered them with a 3/8 10, and I have a buddy that found a nice used cue, and asked me my opinion, but as I have never had any personal experience using their pin... I feel as if I can only provide a jaded perspective.

So I ask your assistance :D

I bought mine from a friend so I didn't have a choice, but if I had I probably would have got it with a different pin. Their quick release joint makes finding after market shafts a little bit harder, and sometimes I've had it come loose on me a little bit. All in all it's not that big of a deal though.

As far as playability, does it play like other 5/16 14 pins, or does it have its own character?

I love the way my Pechauer plays. It has a nice stiff hit that feels responsive. I have no qualms about how it feels or how it plays, but I've just had it come loose during play a couple times which isn't great.
