Pechauer & Predator Shaft

i believe i am going to order myself a Predator 314 Shaft for the Pechauer Cue. Seyberts carries them in stock, as far as i can tell. i like the look of the Pechauer, and it feels pretty good too.

was wondering if anyone out there plays with a Pechauer and Predator Shaft combo? and if so, what your thoughts might be?

I've hit with a Pred Pechauer combo, IMHO, stay with the stock pechauer shaft, it'll do you right...

I second that notion. The Pechauer shaft is very nice, but to each is their own.
 
I've been using a Pechauer PL01, one of their entry level ques, and just got a Pro Limited PL08, and it hits 100% better. My Pechauer dealer said the shaft on the pro limited was a much better shaft than on their cheaper ques. So I'd say the shaft hit would depend on which Pechauer model you go with. I could be wrong, but I know the hit was dramatically different between the two. I LOVE my new one.

I used to play with a Pechauer and Predator shaft combo and it a great combination. I like the taper on the predator shaft over the pechauer because the because has a pretty thick taper. The cue played awesome and I would still be using it but I just got my Omen and Im not playing with any else for a while. You cant go wrong with a Pechauer Predator combo. The one thing that I didnt like about the predator shaft was the fact that you get a lot of spin and sometime more than needed. Sometimes it was hard for me to compensate for the extra spin. But over all it was great. I would recommend it to anyone

I heard you beat the 10-ball ghost on a Diamond table the first time you used a laminated shaft. :p
 
Stick with the Pechauer shaft & if you have to buy another shaft - buy another Pechauer shaft!!

I had a 314 custom made(from a partial)for my Pechauer J-01 cue. The shaft cost more than the initial investment I made on the cue!!

Anyway the 314 fits perfectly & plays fine but, the difference is night and day when compared with the Pechauer shaft the came with the cue. Playing a few racks with one shaft & then switching to the other is quite an experience imo.

I keep the 314 in the case as a back-up if something should happen to the Pechauer while playing, but I mostly stick with the original shaft & I will until I whittle it down to a point where it is unplayable. Maybe then I'll get another 314 to match the other one - then again maybe not.
 
Yeah, a smart table lol. Nah, if i'm feeling good, i can beat the 9-ball ghost on Kim Steele tables (triple shimmed, can't fit two balls period, anywhere) in race to 5 or 7. The ghost is too good, i think we need to find him (the ghost) a hobby...

The Predator Shaft on the Pechauer hits great - esspecially if you are a fan of Predator. I think Mike carries them in his marketplace - you might email him - he would probably appreciate the business. Anyhow - the Pechauer is a great hitting cue and the Predatir shaft is a good hitting compliment and addition to your arsenal.

P.S. If you don't like it, you can always sell it... There are plenty of hacks, opps i meant players, that would want it (or need it lol)...

i am a pechauer dealer and would really suggest sticking with the pechauer shaft especialy if you are going to spend$600-$700 retail range and i can always beat seyberts price on any pechauer with or without predator shaft let me know what model you want and i'll be happy to give you a price.
 
It's starting to sound like a car dealership around here...will somebody please throw in a bag of popcorn, I think it''ll be a done deal and swing him over. He's ready to sign :rolleyes:
