Pechauer Pro series P15-M

Looking to get one of these to replace my Meucci Pro 3. I was told that the cue comes with a maple shaft and not a LD shaft. I was wondering how is the maple shaft on the Pechauer and is an LD shaft necessary to get the most out of the cue. I don't really want to buy the cue and then have to immediately buy a LD Shaft for it.

Thanks.

I have a Pechauer Pro H, that I've been using for a few years, now. I thought the maple shaft was fine, but I recently changed to a Rogue shaft, just for the heck of it. I do think the carbon fiber shaft is slightly lower in deflection, but I don't think it makes much difference (if any) in my game, or that it was necessary. I just did it to find out what all the CF hype is about.

The bigger change, was going from a 13mm maple shaft, to the 12.4mm Rogue. Doesn't affect me so much, as I use an open bridge virtually all of the time, now. But it may make a difference to others.

I'd try the maple shaft for a while, to see if you like it, and only then make the change to CF, if you don't.

Hey Banger, thanks! How is the quality on the Pechauer? Everything I've read says their excellent. I was torn between a Pechauer and Schon STL 3.

Skip the LD and order a conical taper from Pechauer. Thats what i did, most people dont like my cue cause it hit is "to stiff". It plays close to a Tad or JW.

I had a 1990 Joss West... played with it for about 15 years... it was stolen about 5 years ago... man I loved that cue... it won me alot of money.
