hello, if you compare the pechauer shafts with other brands like joss, viking, schon or customs, how would you rate them. how is the hit, more or less deflection....
please any infos you have.thanks

I have heard that Pechauer shafts are home grown (by the company) from quality wood.

My wife has a Pechauer and it hits very well. I would rank it higher than Vikings, McDermits, Cuetechs, and other run of the mill shafts. I think hers was $600 a few years back.

Comparing it to a Joss - about equal.

The best thing I like about the Pechauers is how front weighted they are, if my wife's cue is any indication (20.5" forward balanced). I don't like the quick swrew in shaft as you just don't get that Scruggs snuggness and super solid hit. The deflection seemed to be like a Joss or a Scruggs.

I like the shaft on mine, although it has a different taper than I was used to. It also seems to be on the lower side of the deflection range IMO.
