If there were IPT players here complaining, I would understand.
But I haven't heard many here freaking out..... Only the people that have no real invlovement in the IPT.

Oh, I don't give a rip about the players. They mean nothing to me. Most of them barely make a living wage.

The IPT is just a form of entertainment for me. Pure and simple.

ANYBODY NOTICE 99% of jasper's 40 post since he came on board are pro IPT? Your opinion is certainly welcome, however , you are looking more like a paid IPT webber. I think KT is a con man and If you are not just here to plug the IPT, you ain't to bright. Now that is my opinion and you should respect that like I do yours. I know I ain't to bright myself. I was brought up on the street and I know one when I see one.

And, as has been stated MANY, MANY, MANY times, the players are bound to keep quiet as long as there is a sliver of hope they'll get paid. They fear the ego of the IPT dictator, who has made his petty vindictivness abundantly clear. Aside from the players are ROOM OWNERS, SPONSORS, MANUFACTURERS, FANS, and a host of others that have some vested interest in seeing "Pool", with captial "P" make it big. Your opening premise is a joke.

As for "complaining", you have that all wrong. Most of the contrarians here are seeking to WARN the still-deluded not to invest themselves more heavily into this dangerous scenario. We base this on FACTS on the table now, and mix in informed opinion on future likelihoods based on knowledge of KT's notorious past.

As I've said before, the Pollyannas here love to beat the stuffing out of the Negativity Strawman, but they can't offer anything other than "hope", "faith", "dreams" --- the basic tools any con-man uses to build his mirage.

Anyway no-one is trying to make the players feel stupid and by insinuating that we are you're bigger egg than you make out to be.

Whats going on with the IPT is FACT and um people like to discuss day to day topics. That is what an internet forum is all about.

Listen KT or is it Deno? just make sure the players get paid then there will be no bad publicity.

I have yet to hear anybody complain. I have read the comments and opinions of many people on both sides of the IPT issues. I find it funny that people like you call it complaining, when it is actually constructive criticism.

Hmmm Let's see. I have over 10 years experience dealing with accounting and finance, 5 years of that is at the management level. I own 3 businesses, 4 vacation rental homes, and I am currently pursuing my doctoral degree in finance. I pay all of my employees on time, I have never been to jail for credit card fraud, I have never been shut down by the FDA or the FCC, I've never been exposed as a liar and a conman on 20/20, and I'm a 5-star preferred customer at Albertson's - so I guess I really do matter.

and to do that, the IPT needs to make money. They arent making any money and the players have not been paid. Unless the IPT is able to generate major funding before Chicago the players WONT get paid. Sounds to me as if the players future is uncertain. Why is that? Is it because of people like myself that see right through this?

"Idiot" is your word, not mine. The people that actually signed up and gave their credit card information to the IPT website used poor judgment. Given the complaint history that Natural Cures has with the BBB concerning past customers having trouble stopping them from billing their credit cards - I think those people used poor judgment - but supported the IPT out of love for the game of pool. The players showed up to the events for the same reason. They arent idiots. Those people better hope that KT doesnt charge their credit cards in a desperate attempt to try and cover the payouts. :p :p :p

So how will they be paid? After a year they are deep in the red and plummeting further into that debt pit with every event. There is no merchandise. Dammit, I'm still waiting for Bernie Friend to show up on Letterman. :) Most people will NEVER pay those prices for their DVD's. Of course it takes time to build a successful business, but this is so amateurish. If the IPT is in the red, then they need to find someone that could turn it into a profit making venture. Kevin is not the guy capable of doing that. He wants to flip it. lol.

This is a discussion forum. Youre going to read stuff that you wont agree with. Youre going to read points of view that are polar opposite to your own. You arent going to like everybody. Not everybody is going to like you or what you say here. That's life.

Under the current circumstances, all that you guys can think of doing is coming in here with this ridiculous guilt trip against people that see through this scam? I find that hilarious! My advice (and I'll lift your veil) is to go back to where you came from and tell them that the only effective damage control will be to start issuing checks to the people you owe money to. If the money is there, then there is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON why that cannot happen. The money should not be held up because of a "pending acquisition". The IPT is worth less and less with every single day that passes that the players don't get paid. As their stock drops, so does their credibility. As their credibility drops, they will lose more money, and eventually all of the players. Who is to blame when that happens? People complaining on an internet forum? Puh-leeeeze!

When the IPT was doing positive things, I was posting positive things. I try to post about current events. As of late, there's been no pay, lies, silence, and now announcements about forthcoming announcements. That's the current events of the last month.

We know what the IPT has done so far.

I think their concept/format and ideas are great. I think their execution of said concept/format is horrendous.

I'm curious... what did KT say to the people he ripped off in his credit card fraud, that he intended to do? I'm sure it wasn't "I intended to rip you off and become rich doing so."...

No, I don't believe they intend to do anything they say. Like I said... KT has a history of saying one thing and doing another, all the while ripping people off. In order to gain my trust, he's got to prove himself to be honest, legit, & truthful because it's already been proven that he wasn't in the past.

I think the high paying, round robin format, high class venues are great for pool. It's just a shame that an honest person wasn't willing to step up and do this for pool.

It may be good for the short term, but if it intends to be around for a while - then - maybe - perhaps - they should try to make more money than they are giving away. Success is measured that way, not by how much glitz and glamour and BS you can blind people with until your debt is so great that you need to desperately sell your business.

The excuses are laughable. There are many educated professional people that read these forums and some of us actually can tie our own shoes too!!! Now that you know that, tell the boys back at the IPT office that some of us are laughing at the current excuses and mumbo jumbo BS that Kevin sprinkled his latest message with. The payouts were late becasue he DID NOT have the money when the payouts were due. Possibly he'll get the players paid next week, but the past excuses and lies should alert the players to watch this guy a little bit closer.

Nobody knows anything with the exception of the lies that Timberly mentioned in her thread. There is no mention of Ho Interactive anywhere with the glaring exception of this pay issue. If you dont believe me, Google it yourself - or click the links I have provided below.

It could also be that Kevin had intended to sell the IPT but couldn't, and has used this pay fiasco as a suicide pill. I think that may be a stretch, but its not something I have crossed off of my list of possibilities yet.

Since he ripped off American Express for $122,735 in his credit card fraud there weren't any specific people involved so the answer is he probably didn't say anything.

However, you may be able to use the fact that he was a professional magician and a car salesman as items to further demean him.

I was giving an example... FWIW, his past is and always will be current. He will always have to prove himself to people. That's just life... a consequence of bad choices he made himself. You asked why people were focusing on the negative and I told you that because all we've seen the last month is negative. You asked the question and I answered it, sorry my answer wasn't to your liking. KT's letter is nothing but an announcement about an announcement. If he comes out Tue and says "Sorry guys, there's been a delay, no announcement yet" then what? You'd better start thinking up excuses now so that you'll have them ready if that happens.

I see nothing demeaning about being a professional magician or a car salesman. It's people working and making an honest living. I'll never demean someone that chooses to get out of bed and go to work everyday, no matter what their profession.

The fact of the matter is that the guy made a choice to be a criminal. That's a "profession" I have no problem demeaning. People can and do turn themselves around but people expect them to prove themselves worthy of trust and rightfully so. Some people don't turn themselves around and will continue with their "profession" as a criminal. Because of this, people must be leary of those convicted of crimes. Think badly of me if you want but I'm one of those people that require's a convicted criminal to prove themselves.

In other threads we've already established that all KT had to do was simply tell the players the "truth" that they will have to wait until the buyout has happened in order to get paid. If that is the case, do you not find it odd that they chose to lie about the checks & then continue a month of silence instead?

Efren Reyes is known as the magician and Irving Crane had a car dealership. Hence, the magician and the car salesman are highly respected members of our pool community.

This is such a stupid thread! I hear MANY IPT players complaining in pvt, many have been messed around since the start with changing plans. Of course they're not really in a position to complain themselves but make no mistake many are not happy with the way it is being run.

Yes, the IPT events have been great and we all hope it survives but they can certainly improve the way the communicate with the players.
 
Sheesh jasper, these are just fans being fans. You do want fans don't you ? If so, you'll just have to put up with them, they aren't going to change. Just be glad that we are not like some soccer fans ;)
