I've known this for along time but, just wanted to say something.
People still don't know how beautiful of a game this is, or can be, and here is an example:
I was at a tournament a few months ago, a very nice lady and some friends come to my booth and start looking around, the lady picks up a cue and say's how beautiful it is, so we start talking about the cue, and the fact that she has a table at home, turns out she has a Peter Vitalie table (very upper class table). Then of course I ask if she would like to purchase the cue, her reply was, "OH, I don't play in bars". :frown:

So the conversation headed tword that not only do you not have to go to a bar to enjoy pool, but most tournaments/and pool related events don't happen in bars. We happen to be in a very nice casino, using there ballrooms. So we went to the nearest computer, and looked up az, and showed her pics of tournaments, and what most players dress like. She was besides her self. She had no idea what a following pool had.
So we talked alot for the next hour about how she and here family can enjoy the game, and the different levels of it, with out stepping into a bar. Well they are planning a trip to the US open this year, they said they would rather spend a week watching pool, then 4-5 days walking around a golf course where everyone crowds Tiger, and so on.
They have also bought a Diamond 9fter that is next to there Vitalie, her husband and 3 kids enjoy pool so much, they didn't want to take turns waiting for games to get over with.
And Yes she bought the cue, $1200 Ebony and amboyna cue. We are also building her husband, and 3 children there own sets of cues, and they don't skimp either, the 10 year old is getting a cue w/ an Ivory joint. I love my mom, but momma never bought me a cue.
Glad they rethought how they look at the game, not because they are buy cues from us, but because it is frustrating how many people either don't respect this game, or are pushed away from it for similar reasons.
