PH segmented handle 8 pointer in the works

Heres some pics of my first segmented handle cue, im excited to get this one together, i just finished coring the purple heart pieces and kind of just set up the design next to the lathe. i might swap out the white rings for maple ones to match the veeners in the points.
aegis joint and butt cap.

what do you guys think?

I love it man, Ill bet it will play like a monster! I wanna see it when its done! Is it sold already?

no ive had alot of tire kickers but its not sold yet. should play great.

its a ways from being done tho, ill post it in the forsale section when its finished.
 
Gonna be beautiful. Nice job..If you were to ask me, I'd vote that you switch the rings to maple also.

i am im actually going to go with 1/4" smaller purple heart segments and use 1/8" curly maple rings with black trim rings to seperate them shouple look alot better the white was just to much of a offset ill be finishing up gluing the handle today.


immstill up in the air about joint and butt cap material as well i may not use white for those either........ color scheme is all to important to me.
 
How about using curly maple for the joint & buttcap? You can sleeve it over phenolic so it'll be strong. It'll bring out the maple accents in the venners & rings. Nice cue!!!
