For super hard tips on a break cue, ( I have a Lucasi BBII w/ Phenolic tip ) what is the preferred shape of the tip? Also, what are the better ways and tools to shape these very hard tips? Should the tip be more flat? Nickel shape? Dime? What do you do? What do you like? Why? Thanks. I look forward to the thoughts of those here with experience with different break tip shapes.

I use a nickle for my break cue (13mm). a dime for my play cue (11.5mm).
Are you aware that a phenolic tip damages the cue ball?
No intention to argue the pros and cons for a phenolic tip but, if you use one to break, in my opinion, a flat tip on either a dime or nickel shape is preferred.
Edit: Best method: Last 4 Ever tip tool or sandpaper.

Maybe I am blunt, but if PHENOLIC is legal to use, people will use.
Killing Cue Balls or not.
Cole broke with his shooter, ivory ferrule and all. Water buffalo tip. Accurate was more important than powerful.
Not for me, I never had the power.
Combine leather and phenolic PROPERLY, problem solved. And Cue ball control too!

You have an option of a hybrid tip. A hard leather infused with a phenolic resin. Samsara and the tip on the BK Rush (which I am convinced are the same).
I always shape break and jump tips flatter than a nickel. I think it makes them a little more forgiving. If I don’t have a lathe, I use the Last 4 Ever tip tool to shape tips. I’m not a big fan of phenolic tips on break cues but I have some phenolic material that performs pretty well and will hold chalk. My favorite break tip is the Odega with Gator tips (Andy Gilbert’s) and Samsara right behind them. You really can’t go wrong with any of those three IMO.

everbody did back then. nobody had dedicated breakers. you used your player or grabbed a wallybushka.
Use some 80, or 150 sandpaper to ruff up.

I concur. Since I switched to the White Diamond I don't have to worry about straying away from center and you don't have to kill it to get a good break. Speed and accuracy get better results than brute force.
I have also tried the Bulletproof tip and liked it as well. They both hold chalk and have a solid hit without feeling like there is a rock on the end of your cue.
