Phenolic Tips...any special care

Burn all jump cues

I have a jump/break cue for about a month with a Phenolic tip. It still hits very well. Is there anything I need to be doing to maintain it? Thank you. Johnnyt

If it's already shaped the way you want it, there isn't much to do. I would rough mine up from time to time with a light scuffing of 120-150 sandpaper just to give it a little texture to better hold chalk. I eventually changed mine to a White Diamond, since it held chalk better with no loss in energy transfer.
