My Vhante cue is still straight going on 2 years. It hits great too, and I'm not the only one who says that. I had him custom build it with an ivory joint,a 3/8x10 pin, 18.7ounces and 60 inches. It was cored and the shafts were treated with Nelsonite. I don't know if I just got lucky, but I'm very pleased with the cue.

Well, as I stated before, my Vhante was one of the first and it was not cored and turned into a pretzel in less than a year. I also paid about $300 for it. So..... Does Vhante owe me a straight cue like the rest of you guys since I was one of the Guinea pig early adopters that got somewhat "screwed" with a screwed and skewed cue???? $300 down the drain. How would you feel???

I would feel screwed too. I knew that I was taking that risk when I bought the cue. Like I said, I'm lucky to have gotten the quality and non-warpage. You really never know what could happen. I've had shafts warp on me and been pissed, let alone a whole cue.

As a professional cuemaker I stand behind my work 100% and if there are any problems with the cue I will warranty it...

However, considering almost a year passed, I feel that if the cue was going to warp, it would have done so in the first 3 months after the wood relaxed and adapted to it's new environment....

If the cue was properly cared for, then I think you should atleast contact the cuemaker and discuss some options....

But I feel that a 100% coverage is a bit much to ask for, considering the lapse of time before the warpage actually occured !

I'm sure the both of you can reach an amicable agreement, rather than exploiting his efforts on a national level before you attempt to rectify your problem....

In addition to the above statements... wood is a very unpredictable beast and one has to accept it's unique personality and unfortunately there is always that 1% of the cues I build that behave unusally weird.... so you may just have ended up with that 1% of his cues as well....
