Philippines Illustrated, November 2007 issue (= over 100 PICTURES!)

unfortunately our friend Jarry "Putol" Pelayo couldn't beat Gallego as well. There were two qualifiers who managed to enter the semis, and both from the winnres bracket, Pelayo and Elmer Haya. Perhaps they suffered defeat due to unknown conditions of the TV table.
We missed first semifinal (sorry, no pics then) but we returned from Bohol just in time for the second.
Alex Pagulayan is always funny and joking. Just like during the pre-game ceremony. And when he was playing Corey on the TV table they made in-game bets for fun! Alex bet Corey wouldn't kick a ball from being hooked. Corey did, so Alex payed him right away in front of the cameras! :D

Gallego seemed focused enough to roll over Pagulayan as well, but Alex trailing 2-4 managed to turn things over and won 7 consecutive racks then! And that's with alternate break! 13-9 and 20 thousand dollars are in his pocket, Gallego takes 10.

That's it for now, will check later if my friends have some nice picks to share. Hope to be back to the Philippines next year, hope to meet all of you who will be there as well. It will be different tournament, different background, but still same country blessed by God and people I loved.
Thanks everyone!

Negros Oriental tournament turned out to be a tough affair: Archer was followed by many. Stepanov later took the same couch, my pal was snoozing aseat, Roberto Dy who is at the age of Efren though looks at least twice older ;) lost his fight against Morpheus as well. Even I immediately started feeling asleep when seated there. Must be something in the (ch)air? :)

Sleepy? It's the combination of the tropical heat and the tolls of travel. I spent a few vacations there and by far the best place to doze off is in a hammock tied between two coconut trees by a whitesand beach and an ice cold drink to go with. When you go next time and feel like getting away from pool for a day or two, try visiting Puerto Galera in Mindoro, Boracay in Panay, El Nido in Palawan or the beaches in Cebu and Balicasag. Take your significant other for a romantic getaway. :D

Vah, are you Russian? If so, man, I love your people too especially the exotic looking chics. Met and dated a few from Leningrad, Moscow, St. Petersburg and Ukraine. And then some when I was in Jamaica. They sure as hell can out drink me by a mile. :D
