Once in a while you get some one asking you to chop up a perfectly good cue and do something new with it. This is one of those occasions.
He was just wanting something basic to give his son. He had this full splice Phillippi with no shaft. He sent it to us with the order, "Put some inlays in this and make me a shaft." Haha, I get free reign on this one?
After a couple conversations we decided to add a wrap and change the joint too. "Let's just make this a 100% different cue."
