This won't qualify as much of an update, but I was in the first group of matches called. Lost to Terry Osborne, and left not long thereafter. I believe Chuck Evans won his match also.

They only played one round last night, so those with byes didn't play at all. Play starts at 9:00 today, so not much to report yet.

so who showed up.last year the field was strong

Know Jose Parica, Billy Palmer, and Kim Davenport were there lasy year, but did not come this year. Billy Palmer won it last year, but is recovering from illness this year.

Yeah 9-3 or 9-4, Tyson can be a Giant killer sometimes.

I know Mike P. and Jimmy M. were matching up at 9 this morning, still on the winners side, I'm curious who got that one.

I heard them all talking about raising him, outside under the tent. I think I even heard a quote, "regardless of what he does in the rest of the tournament that win sealed it".

Im sure we could argue the AZ rating system for a while. I am an inconsistent 9 and I beat Tyson the last 2 or 3 times I played him. That is Tysons home turf. If someone is going to give out an upset at Alexanders it probably would be Tyson. Im not saying he is or isn't a 9 or a 10. He can shoot, ill give him that.

I just think the only outcome of him getting raised, will be the amount of Tournys he can play in at his favorite spot. Its not like he's stealing every thing he plays in.

I saw that yesterday, and could not believe Mitch's play, it was like he never got focused. What was it like 3 /9 Tyson.

I can't believe that you asked for update, yet failed to extend info you had about the topic.

Oh- wait. I can believe it.

Believe as the original post was Friday 6pm ish, and I was only there about 40 minutes yesterday Saturday.

Lot more of significance happened than the one match I saw.

You gotta give the guy mad credit ...he does "get there"...There really is something to be said for that...

Funny thing is...I would consider Tyson a "great draw" in that tournament....I feel like I would beat him every time.....

But what the hell do I know being that I went two and a BBQ....as a matter of fact I have developed such a mental block....that for a big events I don't think I could get through a match with my dead grandmother without finding some way to lose....

It got so bad that on my way home yesterday...the thought actually crossed my mind that I may very well be the DCP of big events......(as painful as that is to even mention on this board)

That being said...I am so fed up with my just plain "hack" performance and not being able to "get there" in matches that I have every opportunity to win...I have such a mental block that I think I may very well hang it up...Since that is exactly the advice I would give to DCP......So for me...I think it is time to be just a recreational "hack" player and a lurker on this board....:)

Mad props to Tyson though for knowing how to "get there"......but there are a lot of 9s that I would back against him....(especially on a 9-foot)

Anyway....Now......time to go dust off my Golf clubs... :)

Eat my shorts! He posted 2x after he knew info...that is choosing to not share info. Detectives.

I am in the US, btw (Thank God!).

Edit: I called them 'Detectives' I should have said 'Pool Sleuths"! I should have said 'Pool Sleuths"!

1. I agree about all that you said about Tyson
