Posting Pictures

Jive,

I know this wasn't a 10 minute post for you and I hope everyone appreciates the time it took for you to put this thread together.

Selling cues on the internet is a risk if you don't know the person you are dealing with especially if they don't have a good reputation built up yet. The only way to get the reputation is to make some good deals with good people and your history will start to build and after you have made a number of positive deals you can buy and sell without worries from the buyers or sellers dealing with you.

I'm amazed when I see a high end cue listed for sale with pictures so bad that you can't make out the details of the cue! Quality cameras are cheap now and smartphones can take descent pictures also so why do sellers list their high end cues with bad pictures makes me wonder what they are thinking. If i'm going to spend over 2K, for example, for a cue that I can't physically see then show me the best pictures you can to help me decide if I want to spend my money on your cue. If you try to sell me a cue with blurry pictures it just isn't going to work for me and i'll move on to something else.

Your post makes posting pictures pretty straight forward if you follow your directions and examples. I just wish people who want to sell a high dollar cue would either invest in a cheap camera to get good pictures or ask a friend to help them with the pictures and it would help them find a buyer so much easier.

Positive rep from me to you for putting this thread together.

James

Thanks for the kind words James. I'm glad someone found good use out of this tutorial makes the time spent worthwhile.

I totally agree with you on the taking nice pictures bit. On the Internet good pictures go a long long way...like yourself I find it hard to spend big money on cues that look terrible in pictures.

i get a better shot at running 300 balls playing 14.1 than posting a pic, FYI my hi run is 6 or 7. balls not racks......

thanks for the help, i really mean that, i'm just dense as can be with computers. I hire programmers and tell them what to do, i cant fiddle with it myself, i dont have the right temperament :(:o:frown:

Eric, I've been known to be a very generous person so here I am extending that generosity again. Send me your cues and I'll photograph them you AND I'll upload them for you.
It's ok people, I don't need the applause.. :)
