Bought it from Mike Capone himself at Valley Forge on Friday morning. Ivory sleeve joint. 4 Ebony points. White Green Yellow and Black Veneers. Ivory Diamonds inlaid into the points and 4 large ones and 4 small ones in the butt. Ebony butt. Birds eye maple forearm. 2 shafts. Leather wrap. Radial Pin.

The cue is absolutely perfect and is everything I was looking for and more. Hits absolutely incredible.

It is my first fancy custom and I think it will be my only for some time. Im more of a player then a collector and with a cue like this, I couldnt ask for anything more.

Thanks Mike!!!!

(sorry for the ****ty pic. those who I have met can vounch that the pics do not due this cue justice.)

Yeah, gotta change that. Not a full ivory joint. I Ivory sleeve. Sorry about that.

Not updating the avatar.

Does Mike sign his work? If he doesn't, are there any other markings (logo ect) that identify his cues? Nice purchase BTW.

i'm not too good with computer lingo i meant add it to your playing cue section. that thing that pops up after you post something. congrats on the cue, how long was the wait?

Mike signs his cues on the joint pin.He engraves it.

You will love your capone. I know I love mine. Its my daily player. They hit great and move the cue ball very easy.

I saw that cue there on Friday(or one that looked very similar) I was also looking at nice eight ebony pointer he had on the same table. I'm not a real big fan of eight point cues, but I'll tell you, he does really nice work and that was one sweet looking cue. I didn't get to ask about the signature because he was dealing with others. Thanks for the info.

Yeah, "Capone Custom Cues" is engraved on the pin. I only had to wait a day for the cue. :D I was planning on buying a cue at Valley Forge and was pretty much set on getting a Capone. I didnt have anything on order with him and wanted to see what he brought. I was going to get it on Thursday morning, but had to wait until Friday morning instead because Mike was coming up with more cues then.

Sorry poolplayer2903. Yeah, I gotta update. Think im going to now actually.

Very very nice................................As with most Capones Im sure it plays great.

Glad to see you got what you wanted. I got a chance to talk to miMike as well and thought he was a super guy. I loved that $5000 ebony cue he had.......

Just FYI: His early cues did not have an engraved pin. Some were signed, some not. Mike can identify and verify his cues.

For you Capone fans that were at VF, Mike made the crossover to the collector realm. While long being noted as a builder of cues that "play" great, he wasn't necessarily known for collectible cues. For those that saw it, Mike sold the Armenian Walnut Burl / Ivory & Silver cue that he had out on the table - truly a gorgeous piece of work with a very unusual and elegant wood.

Congrats to Mike and to you for your new Capone!

Adios,

Pizza Bob

thats a beautiful stick.
i picked up this one that i had ordered just before christmas at vf, some of you may have seen it sitting on his table...i didnt get there until sat afternoon. the craftsmanship is superb and it plays awsome. it bumped my sw playing cue right off the table and into the storage case.:)

Beautiful cue, glad you were able to get your hands on it live and in person as opposed to ordering. I'll bet it made your VF experience more memorable.

Another great looking example of a Capone.
Saw his cues on Friday while the floor was quiet.
All of his cues were awesome.

Beautiful cue - and since it's a Capone, it's not only going to look great, it will play great too.
