A couple of good tips.

Thank you Tom and Allison.

In Tom's recent article in IP he talks about seeing the shot line and staying with it until you're down on the shot. He says that if you take your eyes off the shot line before or even while you are going down on the shot , you have probably lost it. I realized I fail to do this a lot as I often look at the line and then the CB as I come into the shot. So I gave this a try, making sure I don't take my eyes off the line until I'm down and have actually taken a warm up stroke or two. Only then did I look at the cue ball to verify/lock in on bridge position, aim, and tip placement. Then I go right back to the OB, take the remaining practice strokes, and fire.

I was watching an old WPBA match on TV with Allison. I like here practice stroke routine. Specifically that she takes 4 or 5 strokes all of the same speed, tempo and length. Then she fires. While my practice strokes are usually inconsistent, hers are always the same on any shot she takes, differing only in the number of strokes.

Anyway, I gave both these things a try this afternoon and in my first practice session had really good results. I'm going to try to burn these two things into my pre-shot routine and see how it goes.

Just thought I'd pass it along. Hope it helps others.
