Question

Since I have come back to pool a few years ago, I have heard everything about how well the Asians are playing in the world circuit.

I have been shadowing Yu Ram Cha's performance off & on for the last year.

She's 21(ish), has a great coach, and most important is inquisitive, curious, and dedicated. (Mentioning she is pretty here would be an OBVIOUS statement).
Yu Ram Cha has everything it takes to be consistently in the TOP 5 in the world's for years to come .:wink:

All the above is just sooooo correct.
Do you happen to know who is currently her coach ???

Yu's coach

Sorry for slow reply my IE just kept spinning had to re-log-in under another link to this sight.

Yu Ram Cha's coach is Charlie Williams. He's a pool pro himself, but also is a self proclaimed businessman/Entrpeneur.
He's also a bit controversial in the "states" , but I don't care.
I just want him keepin' on with Yu Ram Cha, and she go far.

thanks for asking !

Yu Ram's regular coach is not Charlie Williams. She has a regular Korean coach who travels with her and was with her in Shanghai for the recent China Open.

I do not know his name but I have had dinner with them in China several times and it is definitely not Charlie. She has had intermittent coaching from many people including Yang Chin Shun and others but has one permanent Korean coach.

Also she is a very nice lady:)

Her Real coach

Her fundamnetal coach is indeed Korean, I don't know him.(if YOU have had dinner with him, then why don't you tell me who he is, hell i'm just an admiring fan).
She gets the inside from "Charlie" and lets face it any pro needs that to accel on that level.
I still think she is amazing and want to take nothing from her BUT TALENT must be mixed with INTELLECT in order to accel on the pro circuit.
JMHO.

I am too old and don't remember his name. I too am a fan and only met her because a friend is her manager/representative in mainland China.

She is the one female player i would love to coach, i could help her win a world title, (more if she already has) great natural talent just needs it nurturing.

Yu Ram Cha was coached by Charlie Williams from her amateur days through to her first major title at the Amway World Open . Over period of 4 years she was mentored by him and lived in Orlando FL. She also had many male pro victories including over Shane Van Boening.
Williams currently coaches Allison Fisher the past 2 years in her revival and Erica Eunji Park of Korea, ranked #3.

Here is a nice story of Yu Ram defeating Shane at the Predator International 10-Ball Championship 10-8.
