Wish i could upload better pictures...unfortunately we'll have to make do with my iPhone pictures for now. My buddy took alot of pictures with his DSLR but i won't have his pics for a few days.

It's reassuring that the Chinese have adopted the tradition of a scantily-clad card girl. It really is a small, small world. :D

Thanks for the pix.

I just wish they went the whole nine yards and got one with cleavage...notice that they used a hotter female referee for the woman's final? Hehe

Glad you guys like the pics and always a pleasure to post.

It's actually my first time catching a match of this caliber live...only had to catch a 90mins flight and i was there so it's cool. Lee Van was playing absolutely fantastic that day, barely made mistakes..only choked a few on the last set but he brought it home good.

Thanks for the pictures! It's pretty sad to see the China Open, with that much prize money and a seemingly alive competitive scene, only draws a small crowd.

Actually the crowd isn't small....it's just that that's a huge stadium to fill..i don't think we can expect thousands of people to turn out for this event. Also because the hall is so huge and free seating, people are scattered all over the place. My pictures show mostly the VIP Spectator Seats which seats probably 60-80 people and there's that many people there. Then there's my side of the bleacher seats which was completely full where there was about 200-300 people. My picture shows also the left side(where i'm facing) where there's easily 200 people.

So all in all i'd say the crowd is at 500-600 and i think that's not too bad for cue sport.

Maybe they need to find a smaller hall next time...that way it'll look cosier but then again not easy to find one that can fit so small tables.
