This topic has been beat to death, but does anyone have a piloted full ivory joint, not sleeved? I was thinking about getting a cue with this configuration, but don't know how this hits/feels.

I know that the shaft, taper, ferrule, and tip play a part in the feel, just wondering if there is any real difference. I expect not as that are many other factors than just the few I listed that are contributing factors.

Just wondering.

i dont know if this helps at all but Souquet plays with a full ivory piloted joint and does very well with it. I believe he swears by this joint configuration. Paul mottey and jim white both use this style joint often, maybe you could contact them for more info

Here's a picture of the piloted ivory joint on my Mottey cue. It has one of the sweetest hits you will find on a cue.......
