I know that price varies with different makers and repair people. So just a ballpark how much to change out a pin and put in say a 5/16 x14 standard pin or whatever will fit in the hole thats left.

Well it is not putting a pin in the hole that is left. First you have to get the old pin out, then drill the hole out, plug it with wood or phenolic, drill this out, tap it and then put the new pin in. I would charge between $30 to $40 dollars depending on the pin.
