Pin size

I have a Schon and the Joss shaft doesn't meet the collar on my Schon. Is it possible that the shaft has a 5/16 x 18 pin.
 
Sure you don't have that backwards? My Joss shafts fit my Schon fine, but my Schon shafts won't seat all the way on a Joss butt...the pilot on the Schon shaft is a little too big. Both pins should be 5/16 x 14, I would think...
 
I think he had it right. The pin on my schon is a fair amount longer than the pin on my brothers old Joss. So the internal threads in the Shon shaft are deeper to accomadate the extra schon pin length. The Joss, with a shorter pin, would need less threads in the shaft to seat. So, theoretically, a Joss shaft could very well bottom out on the pin of a schon before the joint seats.
 
use a mic to find the difference. you will ned t remove some brass off the major diameter of the schonn to fit into the joss or open the steel color to except the larger dia.. brass pilot of the schonn shaft depth could also be a problem too,

send it to good cue maker they fix it right the first time.
