Going there on business for a few days. Wondering if there are any good pool halls in the area. Any place known for action?

Is the Fast Eddies in Carlisle any good? What's it cost?

Any other places to play in Carlisle?

Thanks!

Definitely try to find somebody who is a member of the Moose Club. That place rocks! A dollar for Buds in the bottle and home-made jalapena poppers. YUMMIE! They have pool tables, and the people there are really great pool folk. There is a lot of TAP players in this area.

Try contacting Tracee Clepper at Billiards For Benefits, (717) 226-1569. She runs a once-a-year Billiards for Benefit charity event. She is very prominent in this area, and I know she will know where to go in this area for a good pool experience.

Across the street from the Moose Club is an FOE and anther club (I can't remember the name). Both are membership as well but if you are a good guy and looking to play I am sure you can meet someone to get in. As JAM said a ton of bar room players in that area. Probably no one to gamble real high but I am sure you can find cheap sets, maybe 5 or 10 a game.

Hey JAM is Tracee related to Randy Clepper? We have a team that goes to Moose and FOE PA state tournaments every year. We have had many battles on the table with the Carlisle guys and usually end up hanging out with them all night. What a great bunch of guys. :D

Fast Eddie's is basically a college bar with four tables in the back room. They are either 3.5 x 7 or 4 x 8, can't remember. Nappy cloth. Big rock. Really loud music, at least on the weekends. No action.

I went there one Saturday shortly after I moved to Mechanicsburg. I asked the bartender for a piece of a chalk. She referred me to the bouncer. He made we wait for five minutes while the moron tried to figure out how his cell phone worked, and then told me there was nothing wrong with the piece that I had. I walked back to the table and started packing up my stuff. Haven't been back.

A few years ago there was easy action at the Gables truck stop on Harrisburg Pike, directly across the street from Dunkin Donuts. All bar boxes. Action could be 24/7 depending on what truckers were there. A trucker that was a legit APA-6 offered to play me for $100 a game. He lasted 3 games. Some of the locals will drop by from time to time too.

Tracee is Randy's wife. They both play jam up pool and they're the nicest people you'll ever meet.
