I might be dropping by Chico, CA in a few weeks and i was wondering where there is to play. Ive searched online a bit, but only one place came up (dino's) and can't really tell whether or not its bar tables (which i detest) or 9 footers and what the cost is. I also might be interested in playing at the university, but am not sure when the pool hall is open and what condition the tables are in (my main reason for being there is on campus at the student union, conveniently enough). Thanks.

Chico is a "meat market" of young college girls ... Forget about Pool and enjoy that "other" pastime ...

Redding is about 30 min. away and has a very nice place called Hot Shots on Churn Rd. a few pro's play there if you play 1p you will find a game for sure, just ask for Richard.

I just Yahoo-ed the distance and they say it is 82.2 miles from Chico to Redding ... I noticed a Pool Hall in Oroville (in the heart of town) last month, but I don't know anything about it ... It's just 23 miles from Chico on Hwy 70 and take Oro Dam Blvd. into town a couple of miles ...

The pool hall in oroville has about 13+ 9 foot tables mostly if not all brunswick gold crowns and medalist tables, the owner is on az as" big daddys " Kevin is his name he can find you some local action there and in chico. If you need any cue work he should be the best in the area.

In Redding is Richard B. is the man to play if you find a guy named Josh P. hot shot player mention his shaking arm and he wont make a ball for twenty minutes funny part is its true you got to see it.

In Chico there should be 2-3 players that generaly pull up after 2 sets but they play all games for a franklin a set .
There is a pool hall with 4-5 diamond tables heard he has funny hours opens late in the day if not @ night the last i heard .

I havent been up there in 4+monthes things may have changed a little
one thing about richard up in redding he never says no to a game no matter how rusty he his loves action.

Good luck with your travels.
