I'll be in Knoxville/Oak Ridge, TN for the early part of next week. What places should I check out? I see Breakers Sports Bar and Grill hosts some Viking Tour events. I'm just looking for some places with decent quality 9' tables. Thanks.

Breakers has one 9 ft table and it plays ok. Knoxvillle Billiard Club has three 9 ft tables I believe. It's a hole in the wall place but cool none the less. Baileys sports bar has oversized 8 ft ers and has a good crowd and good atmospere. I am not to familer with Oak Ridge anymore. The old poolroom there closed up awhile back. Sevierville Billiard Club Has the nicest tables but it is about 30 mins. away from Knoxville. Breakers Is my favorite place to play. I'm in Crossville Billiard Club about 45 mins west of Oak Ridge on I-40 we have one 9 ft Diamond with super tight pockets. We have a nine ball tournament on Tuesday Night. Our break-n-run raffle is up $150 per ball.

The Knoxville Billiards Club is probably your best bet for 9 foot tables. That is were I usually go play. It is definitely a whole in the wall but the regulars there are pretty cool.

McDonalds has some really nice tables, its just right up the road from KBC on Chapman highway. It's really quiet in there and they kind of just close whenever the mood strikes them. Don't bother going up there past 7 or 8 in the evening.

Breakers has some nice Diamond bar boxes but honestly, I won't go into that place anymore. The service is terrible. You will be lucky to get the stupid ***** off the phone to even get a rack and if you want a beer or whatever just go get it yourself from the bar otherwise you will be waiting all night. I really hate that place...

KBC is the only place with more than one 9' table. They have a 1920's Brunswick that is wicked tight and fast, an old Diamond, and a couple of Gandy Big G's. Breakers has one old generic 9'er with fast rails and slow cloth, many Diamond 7'ers. Baileys is a bar and there is rarely any action.

PM me if you need any help with anything in town. I won't be in town this weekend because of the Smokey Mtn Shootout in NC but I will be getting out to Breakers next Thursday night for their tournament. If you are still around then you can PM me for my cell # and I might meet up with you.

Thanks for the leads guys. Anyone know anything about the tables at UT-Knoxville University Center?

Ktown: Unfortunately, I'll be leaving Thu morning, but if I'm down there again, maybe we can play.

Yow: You don't think the first thing I did when I saw that I was going to be in TN was to see how far away Memphis was?
