Took him down on the third try... can I revote?
Also would be interested to see how many here can take down his Casper's big brother, the 10-ball ghost.

If this was the presidential election, you surely could vote again Victor. However, this V Bulletin software is iron clad (unless you use a different username, lol).

So right now the poll sits at @ 27%. If this were a 10 ball ghost poll, I'd guess that % drops @ 10%! Every new ball on the table makes it exponentionally more difficult.

I have, but I'm not betting on it. He beats me too often.

Crap...Guess I'll have to wait for the next poll.
Let's keep increasing the ball count poll by poll and see how low the percentages go. I think we should require video proof as well.. because of cheaters like me.

I played the ghost once...
...but I insisted on alternate break, rack your own.

So....I ran the first rack.....

now I'm waiting

still waiting

:boring:

Alright, here's an open challenge to you all.
Anyone who posts video of themselves beating the 10-ball ghost in a race to 9 on a 9-footer with 4.5" pockets(or smaller) without sneaky video editing, will be my hero for life... or until the next time I see Carlo Biado play.

good on ya mate, i would be happy if i beat the younger brother the 3 ball ghost.

i have been trying to play the ghost every night i can, i first did it on one night at the pool room on 7ft. diamonds, i roasted the ghost 9 to 4,using a regular rack and not pattern racking, with 4.5 inch pockets. I was pretty proud of myself, but then i tried it one night on the 9ft. diamond with 4.5 inch pockets, regular rack, not pattern racking, and ended up getting beat 9 to 5. The sad thing was is i was missing outs where the table was wide open and ones i should have won,so it was just the "fear of success" factor as i call it,when you know you are supposed to win and dog the final 2 ducks or something. So i thought i would try playing the 9 ball ghost on a GC with 5 inch corner pockets to see if i faired any better,i got beat for a while, because i missed some easy outs, 9 to 5 was my best there too, then one night i was ahead of the ghost 8 to 7 and the guy had to close the place up, so i counted that as a win. I have a friend who has a really fast diamonized GC that has tight pockets and the best i have done there is 9 to 5 also, using a regular rack ,and no pattern racking. I have been breaking like normal and pocketing 2 and 3 balls sometimes and still cant beat the ghost. I have tried the soft break and it just doesnt work for me, its like hitting a golfball fat and it not doing anything. I am determined to keep trying if it kills me,especially when i am missing easy outs that i should make. it has told me how bad i play anymore,i think 10 years ago i would have beaten the ghost,my eyes and concentration arent what they used to be,i figure at 47 my best days of pool are probably behind me,but oh those glory days of yester year.

Yup, Brandon is one heck of a player. There are a lot of monster players on here that's for sure. Watching that makes me think it's time to get started on my own 10-ball ghostbusting vid. I'll post it when it's done.
It may take a few hours, or a couple days, but most likely a lot longer and it might just end up being a bunch of runouts sloppily edited together with Windows Movie Maker...

Ya, that guy is one smooth lefty...

Here is a compilation of me playing 12 ball ghost... Good practice game when you start to beat the 9 ball ghost... I don't think I could beat it in a long race though... A fair line for me with this game would be 3 on the wire going to 9...

Well losing twice was really eating at me so I played the ghost again today after work. Im very happy to report that I finally won! I got up 4-1. Then is was 5-5. I ended up winning 9-7 even though I hung an 8 and a 9 ball. Im just happy I finally beat that SOB. Well now my next goal is not to let the ghost get to 5 in a race to 9.

Finally got a chance to play the old ghost...

Although I was up 7-1 at one point I ended up only beating him 9-6...

Nice shooting playing4 and to everyone else who took the ghost down.

I'm still working on a vid of me beating the 10-ball ghost, but the wife won't let me out of the house.
And then there's the small problem of me missing shots and getting out of line in most every rack...

I haven't been able to beat the ghost much at all playing 9-ball take away one ball and play Alabama 8-ball and I win every time. Not sure why the one ball makes such a difference but I guess that's why 10-ball gives a lot of 9-ball world beaters a hard time.
