The closest I know of is Livingston's in Bradenton. Lots of tables, mix of 7 and 9 foot Diamonds. They get busy with leagues on weeknights but should have some open tables. It's about 30 min. from Sarasota, depending what part you"re in.
I might go there tomorrow night to hit some around, depending on work.
Veterans billiards is a little south of there.

Livingston’s also has a couple of open tournaments during the week going on. OP check their social or give them a call
Also, you want Livingston's in Bradenton. There is some sort of Livingston's in Sarasota which is more like a Chucky Cheese kinda place. Supposedly there are pool tables but I haven't been there.

The Livingston's in Sarasota is on Clarke Rd, It is a big arcade, but the pool room is separate, has some decent Gold Crowns, although I haven't been there in a while.

Thanks all. I went to Livingston's in Bradenton on Thursday about 4:30 PM when they first opened. I only had 45 min before I had to leave for another obligation. The room was very nice. All Diamonds. The two tables I played on were Red, I didn't check the others. A few players were there, one getting a lesson, a couple others discussing a shot, and a few others practicing. I played solo for a while on a 9', then asked a fellow to play that was on a 7' and hit balls with him for 20 min before I had to leave. I'll be back a few more times in the next few months. I'll see if I can coordinate my trips around a tournament.

Even though I'm over towards Orlando, my dad lives less than 5 miles from Livingston's and I'm never afraid to look for an excuse to head that way to visit him for a bit…

I’m on the plane to Sarasota again. I had to leave my cues in the car at the airport parking lot, as I was late, and would have missed the plane.
I will be there tonight for the Fargorated tournament at Livingston Billiards in Bradenton. Would anyone be willing to loan me any generation Predator shaft on any butt to play with tonight? I can’t make a ball with anything else, as Ive been playing their shaft since the 90’s. I promise to be good to it.
I can probably be there by 5pm and spend the rest of the night playing some friendly sets then the tournament.

Crap. I'm in Orlando, not over there or I could've helped.
I don't know if you noticed last time, but they have a very small handful of the 7 foot red labels with 4 1/4 inch pockets while the rest are 4 1/2. If you get on one of those make sure that you know it or you could be a bit surprised.
If I can, I like to warm up on those and then feel good when I play the others.
A couple are down in the 3/4 of diamonds row/area, but there may be a couple more sprinkled in.

I'll be about an hour north of there at 5:30 or so. I can bring my stuff down with me. How long are you in town for? I'll be back down that way on Sunday as well.

I made it down there and met with Nick. Absolutely great dude. We had some fun with him kicking my butt in a game of 9ball.
I gave him my cues to use.... and he used a house stick! Mainly just because I decided to play on the tourney as well. I went out pretty early.
He's a hell of a shot! Nice meeting you, man. Looking forward to your next trip.

Hi Tony! Nice to meet you as well. I had a nice time in the tournament, chatted it up with a few people, and got into some action after hrs.
I’ll be back. The plane ticket was only $40 each way. Ha ha.
