Players sneaky pete - what do you guys think?

That's what I've read. I was all set to save up for a Pred Sneaky with the uniloc too.

How about this Players with a Pred shaft? Or a Schmelke with a Pred?

I have put Predators on almost anything you can think of :D

Buying either of the cues you are looking at is fine for adding your favorite shaft later. I personally think 314's play best on piloted joints. 5/16-14 and 5/16-18. I believe Players makes a sneaky with a 5/16-18 pin, I know that they used to

You would be surprised at how many people I have met that buy a cheap sneaky like the Players and slap a Predator/OB-1 (whatever you like) on it... They actually play pretty good as long as the cue is balanced right for you. I bought a Players that was 19.5 oz and took the whole weight bolt out so the cue would be more forward weighted.

The sneaky as is will be fine to play with until you can add a shaft or buy a nice custom

Hope this helps

I would argue that point. What don't they do that you'd like them to? The joint in this case is still wood to wood, so where's the issue of hit difference I really don't think there is one. If we're talking SS, vs Ivory vs phenolic vs some other material you might have an argument.

OK, Black Cat...

I have never actually met anyone that prefers unilock/quick release over most other options. You are entitled to your own opinion and I will not argue with you about this. Some people can't tell the difference, I guess you fall into that catagory

off topic but so jealous of your SE-3. thats the peachier right? damn i wish i could get my hands on one of those...

Thanks, yeah it's a Predator collaboration with Peachier I got #83/100 wish I could have gotten a lower #. Plays very nicely, I'm currently at the new SE-15 they did with Longoni. Got to save a bit more.

yeah i'm familiar with the 15. i wanted the 13 made by jacoby. i honestly don't really like predator shafts but i loved the inlay in the cue. i doubt i would ever use it but it would be nice to add to my collection. the handle on those longonis are pretty cool. the cues called the gladiator or some crap, right?

I mean argue in the only in the loosest of terms, I only say that in to the effect of furthering the discussion.

I personally don't think the hit is any different than any other Stainless Steel Joint however I do love the Quick Release.

Yeah that's the one, I think it's an awesome design. I like the uniqueness of the design. That's what got my attention with the SE-3 Originally, I've alway's played with Predator Shafts so the designs are what get me.

2 Uni-locs that others liked

I am in agreement with you.

My Kenney cue sleeper is a custom from a little known maker with a uni-loc and it is my sleeper keeper I paid $125 for and wouldn't sell for double that price.

I had a Dan Dishaw with a Uni-loc that a couple pro -level players wanted to buy because of how it hit. One owned a Southwest. What an absurd statement to tell someone to stay away of a uni=loc.

I am glad that you found cues that you like. Maybe I will give one of them a try someday

All I did was tell the truth, based on owning and playing with so many cues and conversating with other good players all of which agree with me. I am sorry you don't like it. You are welcome to disagree with me but calling my findings on this matter absurd is not only childish but it is rude. Please don't respond to my posts if you can't show more respect. Thanks

I would stay away from the uniloc joints, thay don't play near as well IMO

I love my predator sneaky, as a matter a fact its the only cue I have left I've sold all my other ones. I honestly don't think the pin matters as much as what the actual joint is made out of. Me, I love a wood to wood joint. I think unilocs are just fine, at least mine plays pretty slick.
