Players touching the table with the tip of cue

Look at the video...he chalks, then slides the cue across the cloth and chalks again. How can you argue that it wasn't intentional? I would say ok...leave your cue at your chair and only come get it when you are ready to shoot...Or I would confiscate his chalk and only let him chalk up when he's ready to shoot.

This is so dumb.

Can you show a mark?

No?

Then sit down.

Shane is measuring the mirror system here with his hand and his cue. This should not be allowed. You should have to do this just by eyeing it. I have seen Mika do the same. Foul. He then proceeds to lay his cue down on the table to line up the shot...touching his tip to the contact point on the rail...also should be a foul.

I started a new topic with this one.

Foul? I didn't see a mark on the cloth. Even if there were any insignificant dusting of residual chalk left behind, wouldn't the ref consider intent?

I am only learning the game, I know very little, so if I am out of line or use the wrong terminology, please don't beat me up too badly. I don't believe a player of that caliber (or any caliber) would deliberately mark the cloth for a follow up shot when zero balls are in their shape.

There was no intent.

Hey guys, do yourself a favor and just put Brags on your IL. Like that Justin moron and all his cue-crap all your doing is feeding this goofball's fire. As long as he keeps getting responses to his inane posts he isn't going to stop his rules insanity.

Think this one is inane, check out his "how would you play this" thread. Here's a guy who claims to be a top player but doesn't know $hit about position play. Talk about a troll!!!

Shouldn't have the onus on me to show a mark. Players should not be allowed to drag their tips along the cloth like that. Foul.

You don't play much competitive pool do you?

You're gonna go on tilt in a short race to 5 with any decent player because most do that.

How many times have you been laughed at when you bring up this dumb shit at the pool hall... Wait... That probably has never happened. Based on your posting you don't leave the house.

Yep: I had one guy try and convince me this was a foul but he didn't want to call me on it. I said go ahead, it's not a foul. I'm gonna use my tip and put it anywhere I like as long as it does not hit the cb or the other ob's. But, there is always that one guy who thinks he's a "Rules King" just waiting to tell you how right he is ;)

What do you mean?

Sorry let me clarify- in leagues they use a handicapping system to determine how good, or bad, a person is at playing this game of billiards. If you were to be in a league where the handicap went from a 2 to a 7 with 7 being the best... Where do you believe you would rank?

If you see leagues as the salt of the earth, the pepper in your coffee, the last piece of toilet paper when you need more but can't get to the store because you shat yourself copiously... Would you consider yourself a pro or somewhere below pro level?

I would not take a spot from anyone.

Well that could be due to your astronomical levels of honor and while I get you are trying to be cute... It doesn't answer the question. Do you or have you ever played in a league? If you haven't... Have you ever played in and placed in a pro tournament?

Of course not. Why do you pretend like you are the special one who will get an honest reply out of poo-chump?

He is here to F with the board and make people debtae inane and largely incorrect matters.

You can tell by the way he comments on any technical matter that he is eithe pool-retarded or just interested in lying.

I was invited to a league one night to fill in for someone. I took a quick look around and came to the conclusion that league pool is the equivalent of beer league soccer. A bunch of bad players with expensive equipment getting angry over missing shots week after week. I have won tournaments with pros in it, but never entered a pro tournament.
